Help a family via a scholarship package.
If you are able to help another child attend lessons whose family can’t afford the full rate, we want to match your donation. We will also credit your account with a kindness gives back and discount your “gift tuition” package. If you purchase a package of 4 lessons as a future credit for another child, the rate you will pay is just $75 for 4 lessons, you will also receive a free swim cap for yourself as a way of saying thank you. We feel every child should have an opportunity to learn to swim in Kailua-Kona, however we still have to cover our expenses. We still believe that through this scholarship fund, more keiki will be able to attend. Money shouldn’t be a reason a child doesn’t learn to swim.
Illness:
As a courtesy to everyone at the school students who are ill are required to stay home.
Missed / Cancelled Classes:
Classes are held rain or shine. Classes that are missed or cancelled for whatever reason, whether on the part of the student, the parent or guardian, or Kona Swim Lessons, including but not limited to illness, scheduling conflicts, emergencies such as fecal accidents, inclement weather or acts of God, will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Hair:
Hair that is shoulder-length or longer must be clipped back from the face securely and put into pony or pigtails. Bangs should be trimmed out of the eyes. We prefer swim caps, because #1 They do their job! #2 The child gets in the right mindset and has limited their distractions!
Photos:
Students may be photographed during a session at the discretion of Kona Swim Lessons for use to promote the swim lessons program. These photographs may be used in advertising (print and online) and publicity. Requests to exclude your child’s photos from the site must be submitted to us in writing.
